Employment bond

Subject - Employment bond
I have got a new job in a software firm. There is a 1 and a half year employment bond in the company and 2 months notice period. I have not been under any bond before this so I wanted to know

Can the employer pay you less in the coming year just because you have signed the bond?

If I complete 1 year and 4 months and give a 2 months notice that makes it 1 year and 6 months do I satisfy both the bond and notice period as my employment bond states

'The employee on joining the company undertook to stay in employment of the company for a minimum period of 18 months & 2 months notice period to the company.'

What does this mean?

Dear,
According to your question, the employee can not leave the service before 18 months after joining and for leaving the service he has to serve a notice for two months after completing of 18 months in service but I doubt about its legal validity.
