sanjay.patil25 Started The Discussion:

Dear All,

I am working with one of the leading multi business house in Maharashtra. My company change his existing name & register new name with Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Now we are in process the communicate the new name to all our related government authorities as well attached clients. i.e. PF, ESIC, Factory, MSEB, MPCB, Banks, MIDC etc.

Now please guide me on what types of documents require for change the existing name.

Dear Sanjay,

Thank you for posting your query on our forum.

As per my understanding, the following are the main documents that shall be required in order to get change of name of a company on the Register of Companies (RoC).
# The revised Memorandum of Understanding (MoA) and Articles of Association (AoA)- special resolution is needed to be passed to this effect. To be done at a Board meeting.
# Form 1A to seek availability of the new name
# Form 23 alongwith certified copy of special regulation as well as an explanatory statement (re change of name)
# Form 1B for approval of change of name,

Please note that these are forms as listed under the Companies Act, 1956. Further, all forms are required to be submitted alongwith requisite fee as and where applicable.

I request other members on our forums to kindly add to the above list in terms of documents required as well as procedures involved.

Regards,
Citelegal
