| Dear Sir, I have a doubt. I work as Executive IR in a good company, One of our employee has increased absenteeism due to his family issues. When enquired we found that he has a family problem. He is also a alcoholic too. He use to drink often and harress his wife. His wife has gone to her mother's house and told that he she will return when he leaves his drinking habit. When I got to know I counselled the employee. He is quite egoistic and justifies his stand. His wife also justifies and she has told that she would divorce him if he is not fine. He good at work but he often take leave due to this. What would be legal action from his wife's side in case of divorce, will he get any imprisonment because of his harressment when applied for divorce by his wife. Please suggest what can be done to bring a peaceful life for him so that organization may also be benifited. Hi Vallab, First why you want to interfere with his personal life and company nothing to do any thing with regard to his persanal affairs. and coming to the your query he will not have any problem untill his wife lodge the complaint in the police station for his harrassment and files case under section 498 A of IPC. and his wife files a case for divorce he has to face it.
