| Dear friend, In Tamilnadu, we are following the below mentioned procedure for correcting the name: 1. Give Gazette publication intending to change the name in Ration card and Voter’s ID Card. Or change only Ration card and get Driving Licence from the name you wish. 2. After getting the Gazette publication, change the name in Ration card. 3. After changing the name , publish in newspaper regarding the change of name. 4. With the paper publication, Gazette publication, notary affidavit from advocate,Ration card, Voter's identity card or Driving licence apply for the passport. With regards, VIJAY
