Soft copy of the Companies Act is also available at MCA website. However, the version posted is of no utility as it is only the very first version of the Companies Act. It is not updated at all....omitting hundreds of amendments brought into after 1957. Your seems to be updated one except for the amendment in 2002..if am right...as the definition of private limited company in Section 3(1)(iii) is not updated.
By the way...many thanks for making available a fairly updated version. Let me know if we can get a fully updated version anywhere.
