| Hi All Please guide me on the inspection of factory inspector or labour inspector which is the year should be calculated. I had a labour visited my factory yesterday ( 05.12.08) he says this is the inspection for the yr. of 2009 ( upto Dec. 09 ) whereas as per my understanding it should be for this yr. ( up to Dec. 08 ). please guide me what is right. Raj dear raj first of all there can not be inspection for 2009 because you donot have any record for 2009.but there is no regular inspection is carried out by labour/factories act dept .it is only compaint based .i donot for which state you are talking ,but in UP only compaint based inspection is only allowed. other friends of this forum can express their views in this regard. tks j s malik hi, inspector of factories will come once in a year at the time of factory license renewal, they will come in the month of dec or jan every year, and they will come for inspection based on compliant. labour inspector will at time of renewal of shops and establishments license it is not compulsary, or based on complaint he will come for inspection. rgds/rajashekar b rao
