Subject - laws for IT companies
Hello Everyone

This is Moksha the newest member of this cite. I have been a member of and by been referred to by CiteHR which has been an immense help to me.
The question i pose to you today is with regard to payment of overtime or comp off in IT companies.
Are there any laws that support this.
Pls advise.

thanks

dear
every company is to be covered either in factories act or shop and establishment act.now you are in IT company and if some manufacturing process is going on in your company than it is to be covered under factories act, otherwise shop and establisment act of that particular state where you are located.the overtime provision and compensatory off provision are given in factories act for factories and shop and est act for other establishment.
tks
