Any laws apply to beauty parlour?

Hi All,

I'm a girl from North East state working as beauty parlour in Bangalore. Three months past I got offer of higher salary from another beauty parlour and I joint that beauty parlour. But the owner of the parlour never give me my full salary. Its now three months over, I only got just 1 month salary. I tried or talk to the owner many times but no use. She will promise me that tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes. Yesterday, while asking for salary, she told me that "You are asking your salary every day, I fed up with this. If you want quit the job but I will not pay you even 1 rs. I'm not afraid if you report me to police, i knew many commissioners".

Since I didnot know any laws or rules. I really don't know how to do now. I will highly appreciate any advice for my problem.

Laws relating to Establishments will apply to beauty parlour. They will have tomaintain register of employees, attendance register, payment of wages register etc. For delayed wages, you may contact the Authority under Paymentof Wages Act. You may contact the local Labour Officer for more guidance.

Had you got any appointment letter.
Do you have any proof of your employment with them.

If no > You can't do any thing & you should leave them immediately.
If yes > You can challange them in labour court & you will get all the pending payment.

you can take help of labour authorities but how u will prove your appointment .you make a complaint to police as she is threatening and file a case under payment of wages act and leave the job.
