| dear i would like to tell u that pls make the question more clear because leave rules varies from state to state .first of all u have to clear whether u are in factory or establisment and than clarify state where u are located than only we can tell u abt the minimum quantum of leave .leave rules are different for every state in india. otherwise,you should have your certified standing order or service rules follow them. tks j s malik Hi Malikji my industry is a manufacturing Ind. and in Maharashtra. ( Raigad ) my question is how to calculate the leave if is joined on 01.08.07. in the yr. of 2008. policy is every yr. employee is entitled for 21 pl. 7 SL 10 CL.but the person who has joined as stated above how to calculate leave for him Thanks Raj Dear Raj, As you are saying that your company policy allow every employees 38 (PL-21,SL-7,CL-10)Leaves per calender year. After confirmation employees would entitle for all the leaves from the date of joining. After confirmation you can calculate the leave on prorata basis & carry forward the PL as per calender year and SL/CL will lapesed. i.e a employee joined on 1st Aug 2007 & get confirmed on 1st Aug 2008. he will entitle for all the leaves from the date for joining : - Calculation : PL-21 per calander year, so that would be : 21/12*5=9 appx. will carry forward & he can claim 30 PL upto end of 2008. All SL & CL will lapsed, earned upto Dec-07, will earn from 1st Jan-2008. I hope the above will clear your all the doubts. Rgds/Jitender Hi All, Kindly clarify This is charan from chennai and iam working as an HR for an MNC company i would like to know few details on leave. 1) How many days of S.L. / C.L are applicable for an employee in a calender year? 2) How many days of P.L. is applicable for an employee in a calender year? My Understanding 1) S.L. / C.L. will applicable maximum of 12 (Minimum of 10 days and maximum extended up to 12 days, again which is depand upon the company which are all registered in shop & establisment act and same is defined in clause (F) if iam not wrong) 2) Even in the case of P.L which is minimum of 15 days and maximum of 21 days according to tamil nadu S & E act in the basis of 1) 1.25*12 = 15 days 2) 1.75*12 = 21 days My Question is 1) Is there any standing order for the same if so from where i can get these details coz no ware it is mentioned about C.L. in S & E act 2) Is there material prepared for the same and if you are having the same could you forward the same to me? 3) Is there any material available for statewise split up on these leave details Kindly let me know with the details and correct me if my understanding is wrong and all the questions which i asked is belongs to tamil nadu S & E act. 4) If you don't mind could you brief about yourself i.e. where you are working, what is your education, where you reside etc..
