| Sir, I work in a MNC,Pharma Company.Here an Executive joined our company 3 years back, as Executive & it's salary.after 3 years, he wants to join Union and applied as Medical representative(MR).Is it legal?how to prevent?MRs salary strucure,Daily Allowance etc are different than Executives.How to tackle the Case-advise ASAP. After 3 years of enjoying higher salary structure, daily allowance,parks etc can he now legally join in Medical representative's Union and apply for MR's post? Job functions of an sales executive and medical Rep is similiar.But an Executive share some additional responsibilities(e.g - project etc), which a MR does not.MR is an unionised staff, whereas Executives are not. Possibly, I could explain better than earlier? Regards! =Lahiri,Kolkata. dear if the name of union is medical representative union than he can not join that union because he is not medical representative.by applying for medical rep post he will not get it.as a executive he can join union but not M R union as named.if it is simple union than he can join it but he will work as executive. tks j s malik
