For the Female employees covered under ESIC act who are away from the company for availing maternity benefit wheather the employer pays the wages or ESIC pays wages to this female employee. what all benefits such employees get from ESIC towards maternity,
Is it complusory to get admitted in the ESIC hospital only if not would the person not get the benefits.

female employee ,if covered under ESIC, will get all benefits from ESIC only .
no wages will be paid by company or no other bebefit will be paid by company.
it is not necessary to get admitted in ESIC hospital to get benefits but indivdual is reqd
to take leave from ESIC for this purpose.
if someone has not taken leave from esic and got baby delevered than she should produce proof and take leave from esic .

Dear All,

Yes, Mr.JS Malik has mentioned correct reply. Employer duty only to cover under esic scheme and arrange the ESI card to employee. Female employee not necessary to admit in ESIC hospital, but she has to take leave from ESIC and submit the same to ESIC conconered local office to get the Maternity Benefit.
