| Bank ATM dispute URGENT Dear All,
I am having a HDFC bank saving account, I have deposited a cheque for Rs. 5898.61 on 02.06.2009. The next day, when I tried to withdraw the money from HDFC ATM, near to me around 6.15 AM. Before I withdraw, I checked the balance, then tried the fast cash option for Rs.3000/-.
The system was instantly hanged and I could not receive the money from ATM and my ATM card also stick inside the machine and could not be retrieved. I reported this immediately to the security guard who was posted there.
However immediately I tried your customer care line, but vain since it is early morning and it seems during week days, they can be contacted only between 9.30 am to 6 pm. Hence I informed the security guard and advised him report this to the Branch Manager.
Since I badly need money, I went to the branch in the office hours to take the cash through my cheque. I shocked and surprised to hear that Rs.3000/- is debited from account. I reported this to the branch manager and he promised necessary investigation to ensure my cash is credited back to my account as well with in 48 hours. Now he is of no hope saying that the money is already withdrawn as per their records.
Kindly advice on priority what is the next step?
