| Re: Labor Contract Licence to work with TRUST Dear Harish,
As per the provisions of the Shops and Establishment Act, even a Trust, is considered to be a Commerical Establishment.
Further Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970 governs the conditions of the Contract Labour, and is applicable to all establishments, if there are 20 or more than 20 contract employees engaged.
Therefore the Trust, for whom you are engaged as the Contractor, as to get itself regsitered as the "Principal Employer" under the provisions of the Contract Labour (R&A) Act, and then after the Trust, gets Registered, it issues a Certificate under Form V, to the Contractor, and then the contractor, would apply to the Authority under the Contract Labour (R&A) Act, for getting the licence under the act. Certain amount of fees is to be paid alongwith the application.
I hope so that the aforementioned information would be of help to you. Incase of any further clarification, please do revert.
