| As a PIO, can I respond to a query by saying "Since no reasons/explanations are available in file records or in your service-book for fixing your basic pay, I am not able to provide any explanation/reason why your basic pay has been fixed at Rs.37,000/=per month". I am relying on Section 2 of RTI Act,2005 because PIO is neither required to interpret nor sit in judgement on contents of any matter. _____ bamasara
