Dear All,

Can any body kindly provide form IV after complection of civil work under BOCW Act.

Form IV is attached. Commencement of work and completion of work are to be filled in the same form but at different times i.e. Before starting work, it is to be used as a form for commencement of work and when the work is finished, it is to be used as the completion of work.

Bocw act 1996 is applicable on the site , under this there is provision of cess to pay to secratary welfare board which is 1% of the cost of the project.in this case cost of the land is not counted for calculation of cess.
this amount goes to different welfare work of workers engaged in construction work.

Dear Rajju,

As per the provision of BOCW welfare cess Act, BOCW Cess is 1-2% of construction cost not of project cost and it excludes following:

1) Cost of Land
2) Cost of Compensation paid under Employee Compensation Act (earlier known as workmen compensation)

Normally state govt. are asking for 1% cess on construction cost

Dear Kapil and Rajju,

The exact position with regard to charging of cess by States is on the basis of notification of Central Government which is 1% of the cost of construction. This software does not accept a bigger file. Kindly ask the same from me on my email address at
