Dear All
Can someone please clarify the difference between a legal degree (LLB) and company secretary. As to which is most preferred in the market. The reason being as i m planning to do LAW but was being advised to go for a Company secretary.Also are there any institutes giving partime time LAW degree for working professional.
Please provide opinion.

Company Secretary is a statutory provision under parliament to conduct the meetings of company & file statutory with ROC. LL.B is more of a legal degree, combination of both works good if you want to join corporate company.. If you want to practice,one of them is possible... both you cannot practice at the same time...

True, both can not be practiced at a time, LLB helps doing both legal as well as corporate duties, but CS is limited only to the corporate duties again subjected to the specific duties only... CS has good placement facilities compared to LLB...
