Dear asbetgeri
Normally if the agreement is made for the period of 11 months then we need not to register the same with Sub-registrar office. If the same is made for more than 12 months period then it must be registered. Then only it will have the legal sanctity.
Hello boss Thanq for reply. what is differance between registering with subregister and notary.is a paper registered with notary equally legal as with subregister.
Dear asbetgeri,
Whilst getting a document notarised by a notary means simply that, getting a lease agreement registered would entail getting it registered from the office of Regstrar of the district where the property is registered.
To answer your first query, in addition to the issue of registration, broadly speaking a period of 11 months is also chosen to safeguard the rights of the landlords over their property.
