I have resigned from Service of the company without completing 1 month notice Period. my resignation was accepted with this condition that i will have to pay 1 month Salary in liue of notice period according to the PAYMENT OF WAGES ACT.
I want to know that what is the meaning of one month salary? Basic+DA or basic salary only?

Does not appointment letter stipulate one months notice? IF so , then what are the wordings of the clause stipulating the notice period, if it states that notice or payment in lieu of notice is to be given on either side, then you are also bound to pay the full one months salary if no notice is served. However it is not governed by Payment of wages act
Usually, it will be the complete one month’s salary..... but I would suggest you to refer your employment agreement, because the company may decide either way depending on its policy....
