I have started my factory in 2011.but did not know that I had to apply for license before start. Now I have contacted the factories and boilers inspector. He is threatening me that he will seal the factory because I had worked for 1 year without license. I am ready to pay penalty.but he does not agree.What can i do now?

i think he is expecting some bribes. In my opinion, you can write a letter to the labour office and seek permission for compliances. you can show willingness to pay penalty if any. Please take guidance of a labour matter expert/lawyer before doing anything. keep cool. do not budge under threats. there are always ways out in indian laws.
