Hi All, Please let me know the labour act and how to use in industries/companies/factories.How to use this act in companies and all.
From India , Hyderabad
Dear Ukkoppolu,
Labour and industrial requirements (legal) have broadly been divided into five categories- working conditions, industrial relations, wages, welfare and social securities.
The Acts which cover these areas are-
Factories Act, 1948
The Shops and Establishment Act
Minimum Wages Act 1948
Industrial Employment (Standing orders) Act 1946
Payment of Wages Act 1936
Workmen’s Compensation Act 1923
Industrial Disputes Act 1947
Employees Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952
Payment of Bonus Act 1965
Payment of Gratuity Act 1972
Maternity Benefit Act 1961
One would have to establish the nature of matter at hand and refer to the legal provisions vis-a-vis the same from one or more of the Acts mentioned above.
The Bare Acts pertaining to several of these statutes can be found on our Network. You simply need to type in the name of the Act in the "Research" tab. For the convenience of our members, we are in the process of uploading many more statutes.
Regards,
