Dear Senior Members,
As we are all aware that the wage limit for entitlement of bonus is Rs. 10,000/- and the bonus calculation purpose, ceiling is Rs. 3,500/-. My doubt is as follows:
If any worker\'s Basic + DA is 9000.00 and he was on loss of pay for 5 days in September 14. So his salary will be Rs.7269.00. Now whether his bonus for Sept 14 will be Rs. 3500/- as his salary for sept is more than Rs. 3500/- or Rs. 3500/30*25.I would apreciate your prompt guidance.

Always try to help the workers side, If the wages is not paid for the absence then you need not to pay the Bonus. But you can make the Bonus as per the calculation you made in your post as per Section 14 of Payment of Bonus Act.
