The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Act was enacted in the year 2009 in accordance with Article 21 A of the Indian Constitution- whereby right to education is considered a fundamental right. The Act provides for compulsory and free education to all Indian children between the ages of 6 and 14.
In this year 2017, some amendments have been proposed to the said Act.
Please find the Act of 2009 attached for your convenience and reference.
