My wife is working in a software firm. She has joined in the month of January 2018. She is pregnant now completing her 5th month now her company is saying she is not eligible for any maternity benifits as she has not completed 1year in their organization. So would like to know whether she is eligible for maternity paid Peace's for 6 months or not. And she is ready to work till October month end 2018 but the company hr and the MD of the organization are denying her request and advising her to take sabbatical leave from this month. When my wife wanted to clarify the details of rules and regulations of maternity benefit act they are harassing her. Please let me know whether she is eligible or not for paid 6 months leave and for the harassment which she is going through what necessary actions to be taken
