Hello , I am a part of XXX from last 5 months and my spouse is also working with me in same account and currently reporting to same manager.
When we joined the account ,we got hired for two different projects under two different supervisors and have already informed our supervisors at the time of onboarding that pls check with XXX HR and client if policy supports spouse to work in same account. That time my manager confirmed us that he checked with the HR and client that spouse can work in same account but in different projects but later on they mapped both of us in same project and we started reporting to same manager who is new to the organisation and unaware about the spouse policy and started discrimination in terms of assigning work. When we asked the reason for discrimination, Manager sent a mail that just because you are spouse i can't give equal opportunities to both of you, one should work in development work and other will be in production support with no good intentions.
So we have reached out to previous supervisor for his advise with regards to supervisor's mail and asked whether they really got any client and HR confirmation before getting us onboarded .Then he told us that as per XXX policy you can work but client policy doesn't supports and if you guys raised this to anyone, you will be in trouble. So you should work quietly in the project and don't raise any concerns .Also we will not release anyone of you as we have resource shortage.
Then we have decided to put down paper and come out of all this and currently serving 1 month notice period but now my supervisor is not ready to provide approval for my spouse resignation and creating a pressure on both of us, so that we will not speak out with anyone about this injustice.
But I am planning to raise this concern with XXX HR that my supervisor cheated
both client and us without getting any approval and said I had an approval from client and forced us to take a decision to leave the organisation.
So please help me in suggesting next steps to get this sorted out and get a smooth release.
