My wife is working in a company where probation period is of 3 months. Notice period during this time is 1 month. After 3 months depending on the performance probation period can be extend or employee can be confirmed.
Now after 3 months there is no further process by the company. But her probation period is already over. In the meantime she got a offer from other organisation. Now when she put resignation to client company ( after having proper discussion with the line manager) HR has come up with her confirmation letter. Before that no mails are communication was there from HR/ line manager. She has not signed to the offer letter as well. But HR is forcing to serve 3 months of notice period as she said as per organisation policy the letter is prepared and whether she sign or not she is now the permanent employee. what should she do now?
