Hello, I was working in a Tea Manufacturer company since 2 years. Now company is terminating me and want to sihn the relieving letter which says that I cant join any direct or indirect competitor company for 2 years.
Initially at joining ,the company didnot mentioned this in joining letter.But after 1 year of joining they asked to to sign on paper which says i cant join any Compitior company for 2 years after Resignation or termination. At that time I dont have any choice so I signed that paper.
Now they have terminated me with one month notice pay. I am getting offers from other Tea Brands. Please tell me if my old company can take any legal action on me if I join any other competitor brand? I don't have any job .Please Help.
