Hi all, I have been working with a company for 2years from now and its a night shift job. Since I am going to get married, as per family requests and with lot of struggle and interviews I got a job in day shift. My company has a very bad attitude of not letting go people if they share that they're moving out because of new opportunities and they will ask us to serve notice period of 2 months.
As per appointment letter 2months prior notice should be given to company and there is nothing else mentioned in the appointment letter.
I have resigned from this company last week in written and requested management to let me go due to a family emergency. I promised them to serve my notice period for 2 weeks and there after I will not be able to continue serving my notice period so I would like give up my salary also. I will give more than my salary if required and requested to let me go. But the management are rigid with there decision asking me to serve notice period of 1 month. If there was need of my position, I would have completely understood but they harass every employee who resigns from the company. My 2 supervisor also told management that we will take of the work there is no such hurry and need of replacement at this moment and still the management is not ready to let me go. It's been more than 9 days from now every day I am visiting managers cabin requesting and pleading to relive me, they are still not ready relive me. I resigned on 14th of August 2019 and still the manager has not replied or accepted my resignation. So yesterday on 22nd Aug I again went to manger and told him I can no longer be able to continue after 30th of this month, and told him that I am going to send an email again asking me to relive me by 30th and manger told that's your call, even if you send me that email I will reply saying your notice period is for 30days and can't let you go.
Well as discussed I sent an email firstly thanking the company and managers for job opportunity then I mentioned that I will no longer be able continue my employment with the company on after 30th August 2019 due to personal emergency which as discussed with HR and manager, so requesting to please relieve me by 30th, I even mentioned to let know the dues for not serving notice period and asked them to reply on my relieving date in written. I still did not receive any response.
Please advise what I have to next. I have really struggled a lot to get this job in day shift, I wish my employer could move the start date and I really wish I could have completed my notice period but I am really helpless. Please someone help me on this.
