Can an employer deduct the double loss of pay on a particular day? My wife works in a sole proprietor firm, having below 20 staff. She has one paid leave per month. But they won't allow taking leave on Saturdays even it is urgent. If we take leave on Saturday even after informing, they will deduct double pay. Is there any Indian law regarding this?
