Hi All, I am working in IT department in an insurance company on the payroll of a third-party company. This third-party company provides a resource to the insurance company on a contract basis. I have given resignation on 3rd December. Now, this third-party company wants to restrict me to join its competitor who also providing a resource to the insurance company.
Therefore the third-party company asks me to accept the condition to not join its competitor in the mail. They are threatening to me that they will not accept my resignation if I refuse to accept the condition of not joining their competitor.
I ready to serve 3 month notice period.
Also, there is no clause in my appointment/offer letter which restricts me to join a competitor. They are threatening me that they will take legal action if I join a competitor.
I have a very good offer from a competitor and my company also not ready to increase what the competitor is giving me.
