With respect to female employees covered under ESIC Act who are on leave on account of maternity benefit, would an employer be liable to pay wages or ESIC to such employee? What all benefits would such employees get from ESIC towards maternity?
Is it compulsory to get admitted in the ESIC hospital only to avail the benefits, if any?

Dear All,
Yes, Mr.JS Malik has mentioned correct reply. Employer duty only to cover under esic scheme and arrange the ESI card to employee. Female employee not necessary to admit in ESIC hospital, but she has to take leave from ESIC and submit the same to ESIC conconered local office to get the Maternity Benefit.
