Im an emp of one MNC working as a Sr.Software Engineer. My joining date was Nov 2nd & i was in probation for 6 months as specified in my offer letter. Regarding notice period, its specified as "Your services are terminable with one month’s notice on either side."
Now the company changed the Notice Period to 2 months during this year appraisal. So who all got appraisal this year,they signed the paper which states 2 months notice period from April'10.
On April 30th, I have kept my papers, but HR is saying that I also have to serve 2 months notice period. But I havent signed any paper or I havent got any information from HR about the change in notice period.
Even I havent got my confirmation, before I placed my papers. No papers, no information, no notification, nothing from HR side, but they want me to serve 2 months. I have some personal commitments & I have to relive by May 31st.
Internally from my Team Manager I came to know that there's a lack of resource & even they are not willing to recruit any new resource. So they want me to stay till June 30th, becoz from another team one person is getting released from his current project. So they will transfer him to my team.
Please let me know is there any way i can get rid out of the 2 month notice period.
