Given below is a rough assimilation f most of the Law Colleges in India (as in 2011) and the courses offered by them. 1. Rajiv Gandhi national legal university of law, Patiala- Established at Patiala in the year 2006. The main campus of RGNUL is coming up at Village Sidhuwal on the Patiala Bhadson Road.

2. Faculty of Law, Delhi University- The Faculty of Law was established in 1924. While being the largest law school in India, the Law Faculty also has the distinction of being one of the largest in Asia and the world.

~ Doctor of Philosophy
~ Doctor of Civil Laws

The Faculty of Law now has three Law Centres: The Campus Law Centre (CLC) in the Faculty of Law building (University North Campus) on Chhatra marg, Delhi-110007, Law Centre-I (LC-I) in the Faculty of Law building (University North Campus) also on Chhatra marg, Delhi-110007 and Law Centre-II (LC-II) in the Atma Ram Sanatan Dharam College building at Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi-110021. The three Law Centres conduct the LL.B. Programme. In addition, there is a fourth unit headed by the Dean, Faculty of Law, which administers Master of Laws (LL.M.) (Two-year full-time & Three year part-time courses), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) programme along with Master of Comparative Law (M.C.L.) for foreign students.

3. Jindal Global Law School, Haryana- Based in Sonipat, Haryana, India. The University was established in January 2009.

4. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow- Dr.Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University in 2005 and came into being on 4th of January 2006.

~ Ph.D.

5. Chanakya National Law University, Patna- Established on August 15, 2006.

6. West Bengal National University Of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata- NUJS was established in 1999 by the Bar Council of India, in conjunction with the Government of West Bengal.

7. KIIT Law School, Bhubaneshwar- Established in 2007.

8. Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur- Established around the year 2003, it is a residential University and is sixth in the series of National Law Schools in India.

9. NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad- Was set up in Shamirpet, Hyderabad, India in 1998. NALSAR currently offers 80 seats for its B.A, LL.B (hons.) Programme and 60 seats for LL.M.

10. School of Law Christ University, Bangalore- School of Law, Christ University (SLCU), Bangalore, is a part of Christ University, Bangalore, which was founded and is administered by Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI).

11. NLSIU, Bangalore- The NLSIU was established in 1987 under the stewardship of its Founder Director, Dr. N.R. Madhava Menon. The first batch of students joined on July 1, 1988 in the integrated five year B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Course. The NLSIU started its courses in the premises of the Central College , Bangalore University . The NLSIU moved to its own premises at the present address in 1992.

12. National University Of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi- Established in January, 2006. The Government of Kerala constituted this University by merging the erstwhile National Institute for Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS), which was established and managed by the Bar Council of Kerala and Bar Council of Kerala Trust. NIALS was then the approved centre of the Cochin University of Science & Technology and affiliated to that University.

13. Bharti Vidyapeeth University, Pune- Bharati Vidyapith, presently known as Bharati Vidyapith University, founded by Dr. Patangrao Kadam in 1964 has one of the largest chain of institutions running under it.
